Summer Camp
June 23 – August 1, 2008 (six, one week sessions)
Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm
For Jr. Kindergarten and Kindergarten Students:
From Australia to America, each week will bring a different exciting destination. Children will learn through dramatic play, arts and crafts, sand and water play and more. Bring your imagination as we get on board for fun! Each day will include a snack and lunch break.
• Aussie Adventure (Camp week 1) We’ll hit the dusty road in our jeeps and discover the outback.
• Patriotic Week (Camp week 2) Fireworks and flags—everything is red, white and blue this week.
• Western Week (Camp week 3) Let’s gather ‘round the campfire, roast marshmallows and tell stories. Giddy up!
• Let’s Go Under The Sea (Camp week 4) We’ll dive into a week of ocean fun. Don’t forget your scuba tank!
• Summertime Fun (Camp week 5) Baseball, camping and water fun. That’s what summertime is all about.
• Fairytale Fun (Camp week 6) We’ll jump into books, dress up, and see what it’s like to be Aladdin, a princess, and much more.
For Kindergarten through 5th grade:
Each eventful day will include three destinations of 60 minutes each, as well as a snack and lunch break.
Campers will participate in soccer, football, basketball and a multitude of indoor and outdoor group oriented games.
Children will cook up art projects as they work with a variety of mediums and explore their unique recipes for creative expression.
Students will discover the wonders of science and nature through projects like soap making, volcano building, earthquake studies, growing a garden and much more.
In addition to our regular curriculum, slip-n-slides, wading pools, and water games will be set up on the lawn for fun filled water play each Friday.
Campers will participate in the following groups:
- Children entering Jr. Kindergarten and Kindergarten
(Early Childhood Program)
- Children entering Kindergarten through First grade
(Available alternate for Kindergarteners) - Children entering Second and Third grades
- Children entering Fourth and Fifth grades
Campers will need to bring a water bottle, snack and lunch each day. In addition, they should come wearing athletic shoes and sunscreen.
On Fridays, campers should also bring a swimsuit (worn under their clothes or separately to change into), a towel and extra sunscreen.
There will be no extended care available.

the parents. The sessions will culminate in a performance for family, friends and neighbors. Note that this program is limited to children entering first grade and up.

Summer Reading Lists
Every educator knows it. So do most parents. Summer reading is essential for kids! In fact, reading experts note that most young readers suffer a backslide in reading skills during summer downtime. But that needn't be the case. Families can make reading a priority during the summer months, and children will learn that people never take a vacation from learning. This summer, keep your kids' hands and minds occupied with a great book — or a few. In fact, our suggestions should keep them busy all year long.
