Take a Personal Tour
One of the best ways to evaluate a school is to observe its teachers and students in the classroom. During our one-hour tour, the ACS Director of Admissions will explain the history and philosophy of our school, and then guide you through classrooms where you will see teachers and students in action. Contact our Admissions Office at admissions@a-cs.org to arrange a tour date. Tours are generally offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning starting at 8:30 am.

Attend an Open House
The ACS Open House takes place on pre-scheduled Saturdays so teachers are free to visit with you. You are encouraged to ask in-depth questions about our teaching practices and our curriculum. You may also examine textbooks and see samples of students’ work. After a brief welcome from our Principals, one of our middle school students will personally escort you to the classes and programs that interest you most. Bring your whole family and let your prospective student gather his or her own opinions about ACS. Our next Open House date is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 10:00 am – noon. Participate in our Shadowing Program
Our Shadowing Program allows your child to become an Almaden Country School student for two days and gain a first-hand perspective on our school. A personal shadow buddy will partner with your child through each day’s classes, during which your child will do the same work and activities as the other students. As part of the shadow experience, our teachers will confirm your child's academic grade level and observe how your child integrates socially with the other students. We will then share that feedback with you during an individual family interview with our Director of Admissions. To experience ACS first hand, contact our Admissions Office at admissions@a-cs.org.
