Student Achievement Results At Almaden Country School, students receive outstanding preparation for high school and beyond:
Once in high school, ACS students quickly become involved in all areas of high school life. They distinguish themselves academically and otherwise, taking honors and Advanced Placement classes such as French II, Honors Biology and Geometry as freshmen, achieving high grade point averages at their schools, participating in clubs and on teams, receiving service awards, and earning scholarships to their colleges of choice. While ACS is a small school, we're proud to claim numerous valedictorians at the selective high schools our graduates attend. Ultimately, the ACS result that’s most significant has to do with the character of the young people blossoming in our classrooms, onstage and on the playing fields. School leaders at all of the excellent high schools ACS graduates attend consistently describe our students as:
These testimonials speak to qualities in ACS students that we value most as evidence that the ACS experience definitely leads to “results.” The Class of 2009 extends the ACS tradition of excellence with their high school placement results. 25 members of our Class of 2009 applied to attend private high schools, and three opted to enroll in the area’s strong public schools. 100% of our eighth graders applying to private high schools were admitted, some to multiple schools. High schools where ACS graduates have been accepted are:
We are very proud of the accomplished and talented girls and boys in this year’s graduating class, as they’ve continued a 28-year tradition of success after ACS. The successes of our alumni continue as they graduate from high school and are admitted to college. Some of institutions our alumni attend include:

As Dr. Ole Jorgenson, Head of School, often tells parents, excellent schools are measured not by the accomplishments of their students, but by the lives lived by their alumni. ACS prepares children to lead extraordinary lives. |
